The PADI Instructor Development Course in Hurghada, Egypt will take place at Euro-Divers, PADI IDC Center on the following dates:

- August 29 – September 11 – 2020
- November 28 – December 11 – 2020

The IDC will start on the dates mentioned above with PADI Gold Course Director Carmelo Sgroi (English and Italian).
Carmelo owns a PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort in Italy and is a PADI Tec Instructor.
Carmelo began his career 10 years ago as PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in Australia.
Then he developed himself into a PADI IDC Staff Instructor with PADI Course Director and owner of dive-careers.com, Mark Soworka.
In 2018, Carmelo Sgroi completed the PADI Course Director Training Course in Malaysia and joined the dive-careers team.
Carmelo has taught 6 IDCs in 2019, having led multi-lingual international groups of IDC candidates, transmitting his passion, experience and enthusiasm for scuba diving and teaching to all of them.
The program of the IDC will be as following:
Pre- IDC (2 days), the IDC (10 days) and the PADI IE (Instructor Examination two days)
The pre-IDC is the time to get an idea of your demonstration skills and your knowledge about dive theory: Physics, Physiology, Decompression Theory, Recreational Dive planner, Equipment, Skills and Environment. We will also look at the PADIGeneral Standards& Procedures. In the water we will do a Skill Circuit which includes all the demonstration skills of the Open Water Diver Course.
During the 10 days we will be focused on everything you need to learn to become a PADI Instructor. You will participate in academic presentations and we will be a lot in the water,doing Confined Water Presentations and Open Water Presentations. We will teach you the PADI structure so that you can teach it to your students in the best way. We repeat all the presentations several times and each time you will be evaluated by your Course Director and Staff Instructors.
After the IDC, you’ll be ready for the PADI Instructor Examination. During these two days, the PADI Examiner will evaluate you on all the presentations in the classroom, confined and open water that you have practiced during the IDC and there will be a Theory exam (Physics, Physiology, Recreational Dive Planner, Skills and Environment, and Equipment) and the General Standards & Procedures Exam.
The IDC includes also the Emergency First Responder Instructor Course, a big plus in your career, as with this certification you can teach your students the EFR course which is required for the Rescue Course and is recognized as a first aid certification.
A SCUBAPRO Equipment Workshop and Marine Reef Ecology Resource Management Seminar are added as an extra to the IDC Program for free.
