Right in the beginning of May we had to say goodbye to one of our likeable French speaking instructor Renaud who decided to take a break from the island life for a while and go back to France. We wish Renaud all the best and we hope to see him again one day here in the Maldives.
Especially in the first half of May we were blessed with very good weather and good visibility. One of the very special facts about this May was that while we were waiting for the Mantas to arrive at Mahibadhoo Manta Point (they left from Rangalli on the other side of the Atoll end of April).
We had quite a lot of juvenile Mantas on the inside reef of Dhigurarh, and we had encounters almost every time we went there.
Since we often go there for the third dive on our full day whale shark trips, we often got lucky to see whale sharks and mantas on the same trip which surely created some unforgettable memories for lots of our divers.
In the last week of May we then finally had our first successful trip to Mahibadhoo this season, with 3 Mantas cleaning, followed by an amazing dive a few days later with an incredible number of 10-15 Mantas circling around the cleaning station.
At the end of May we have then been informed by TripAdvisor that our Dive Center has been introduced into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame for receiving a Certificate of Excellence for 5 consecutive years. We are very proud of this achievement and very thankful for all our guests who took the time to write those numerous nice reviews during the past years.
We certainly will continue to provide the best service possible to our guests and help them create unforgettable memories underwater as well as on the surface.
