Newsflash from Kandooma Maldives

The Euro-Divers Kandooma dive center is getting better and better!

The dive shop has been fully redecorated from the classroom to reception area and guest room. The walls are now so white and bright that wearing sunglasses is highly recommended when visiting the dive center.

Our new wooden dhoni, the “Sharafu” has also been maintained with a new paint job, a new ladder and a full service for its 260 HP engine and the fitting of a new wide screen GPS. Although Captain Saeed does not need a GPS, it is nice to feel secure when coming back from a night dive and being able to see the reef appearing on the screen.

The lagoon has been cleaned with an innovative Peak Performance Buoyancy course built and ready for any divers wanting to improve their underwater stability, air consumption and overall comfort.

The two artificial reefs are doing really well with myriads of fish having established their home here together with bigger fish that are becoming residents. It seems that a trigger fish and a few sting rays are getting to like this area. Not to forget that a nice giant moray is being spotted more often and we are all hoping that the comfort is good enough for this beautiful fish to make it her home.

The scuba team, Karlis, Ethan, Adam and Ibrahim are now waiting for you to come and share some world class diving. Safari boats are coming from all around the Maldives to jump in the waters around Kandooma. Come and join us and you will be only 5 minutes away with a guarantee to get the best seat in the house to watch the sharks at the cleaning station.
